The House of Steel saved!

First up, sorry the Nixon’s Pals review isn’t up yet! It’ll be ready by Wednesday or Thursday. Anyway, I’m a bit short on time, so I just thought I’d point you to a nice bit of news today. The Siegel & Shuster Society and novelist/comic book writer Brad Meltzer have been able to gather enough money via an online auction to save the childhood home of Jerry Siegel, the man who co-created Superman. A whole ton of creators (and even people outside of comics, like Jerry Seinfeld and Stephen Colbert) pitched in, donating money and art pieces to save the home of the very first superhero. The goal had been to raise $50,000 just to work on the house’s exterior, but they ended up raising $101,000 instead! Which means they’ll get to work on both the inside and the outside of the home.

But you know what best part is? The family currently living in Siegel’s old home will now have a nice place to live in. Now that’s doing Superman proud.
